Taxonomic research heavily relies on the skull, which proves to be the most significant bone in the process. The three cat species were compared in this study, using computed tomography to measure the skulls of each individual. In this research, the dataset contained 32 cat skulls, specifically 16 Van Cats, 8 British Shorthairs, and 8 Scottish Folds. The Van Cat boasted the most prominent cranial and skull dimensions, standing in stark contrast to the comparatively minimal values in British Shorthairs. The disparity in skull and cranial length measurements between British Shorthair and Scottish Fold cats did not reach statistical significance. The Van Cat skull's length was statistically distinct from the lengths of other species, according to the data (p < 0.005). The apparent relationship between affordance detection and Human-Object interaction (HOI) detection is unequivocally clarified by the distinct theoretical framework of affordances. Gibson's classical definition of affordance, which encompasses the object's actionable potential within its surrounding environment, and a telic affordance, which centers around its conventionally assigned function. We improve the HICO-DET dataset by adding annotations for Gibsonian and telic affordances, and a portion of the dataset provides annotations for the orientations of people and the objects. An adapted Human-Object Interaction (HOI) model was then trained, after which a pre-trained viewpoint estimation system was assessed using this augmented dataset. AffordanceUPT's architecture, a two-stage adaptation of the Unary-Pairwise Transformer (UPT), separates affordance detection from object detection through modular design. Generalization to novel objects and actions is present in our approach, while successfully distinguishing between Gibsonian and telic interpretations. Utilizing light, we demonstrate uni- and bidirectional rotation and speed control of polymerized azo-containing chiral liquid crystalline photonic microparticles. A study of the rotation of these polymer particles, conducted both experimentally and theoretically, is initiated in an optical trap. Because of their chirality, the micro-sized polymer particles within the optical tweezers' alignment display a response to the handedness of the circularly polarized trapping laser, exhibiting uni- and bidirectional rotation. Particles experience a spin, driven by the attained optical torque, with a frequency of several hertz. The absorption of ultraviolet (UV) light induces structural adjustments that control angular velocity. Upon cessation of UV illumination, the particle resumes its rotational velocity. The light-driven motion, including uni- and bidirectional movement and speed control, observed in polymer particles, hints at the potential to create light-activated rotary microengines at a micrometer scale.
